Privacy Policy

Ivory & Co. Cleaning Services (“we”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of every client, prospective client and visitor to this website. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you hold under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Last updated: August 2026.

Who We Are

We are a boutique domestic cleaning company serving Nantwich and the surrounding Cheshire area, and we remain the data controller for the information described in this policy. For any privacy matter, please write to enquiries@ivoryandcocleaning.com.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information you choose to share with us — typically through our enquiry form, by email, by telephone or during a private consultation. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Your name, email address and telephone number.
  • Your address, postcode and the location of the property.
  • Property details you provide, such as size, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, condition and access arrangements.
  • Your requirements, preferred frequency, preferred days and times, and any pets in the home.
  • Any additional notes or preferences you share so we can quote and plan the visit accurately.
  • Basic technical information collected by our website, such as pages visited, for security and performance purposes.

We do not knowingly collect special category data, and we ask that you do not send us sensitive information unless it is necessary for the safe delivery of your service.

How And Why We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a written quotation, arrange a consultation, schedule and deliver the services you have requested, manage payment and keep proper business records. Our lawful bases are:

  • Contract — to quote for and deliver the services you have asked us to provide.
  • Legitimate interests — to run and safeguard our business, including scheduling, service quality and record keeping.
  • Legal obligation — to meet accounting, tax and insurance requirements.
  • Consent — where you have expressly asked to receive occasional updates from us. You may withdraw consent at any time.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Confidentiality And Our Team

Confidentiality is fundamental to our work. Information about your household is shared only with the members of our team who need it to carry out your clean, and every member of our team is DBS checked and works to our written standards of discretion. Nothing about your home, its contents or its occupants is discussed outside the business.

Service Providers

We use a small number of trusted providers to operate our business, such as website hosting, secure data storage, email and payment processing. These providers act on our instructions, may only process your data for the purposes we specify and are bound by appropriate confidentiality and security obligations. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

How Long We Keep Your Information

Enquiries that do not proceed to a booking are retained for up to twelve months, so we can pick up the conversation should you return. Client records are retained for the duration of our working relationship and then for up to six years, where required for accounting, tax and insurance purposes, after which they are securely deleted.

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including access controls, encrypted transmission of website form submissions and restricting access strictly to those who require it.

Cookies

Our website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function securely and to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. Further detail is set out in our cookie policy.

Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR you may request access to, correction of, deletion of or restriction of the personal data we hold about you. You may also object to certain processing, request portability of your data and withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these rights, please write to enquiries@ivoryandcocleaning.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal obligations. The current version will always be published on this page.
